Kingdom Karnage: Full Guide

Kingdom Karnage surpasses the traditional TCG (trading card game) by allowing you to choose between supporting humanity, zombie hordes, or orcish tribes. It offers much more than a typical TCG experience.

Overview

Kingdom Karnage, a digital trading card game, fully utilizes the possibilities offered by the digital platform. Rather than merely collecting and disenchanting, you have the freedom to purchase, sell, or trade cards directly with other players using your gaming wallet. You can set your own prices and maximize the value of your gameplay experience.

Embark on a quest to conquer campaign modes for each faction, delve into dungeons to discover valuable prizes, and relish the satisfaction of defeating opponents in PvP battles. By assembling a deck of 30 cards, you can engage in turn-based combat. However, the presence of countdown clocks adds an extra layer of challenge, making it trickier to manage your health, attack, mobility, and skills during gameplay.

Gameplay

In Kingdom Karnage, every player constructs a deck consisting of a maximum of 30 cards, each with different rarities ranging from Common to Legendary. These decks are then used in battles, where the objective is to reduce the opponentโ€™s hero health to zero before they can deplete your own heroโ€™s health.

Character

In Kingdom Karnage, characters are categorized into five levels of rarity: common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary. Each character has a total of 10 levels. To progress to the next level, you can merge two characters of the same level and with matching stats. As characters level up, their attack power and health points increase, and sometimes they gain new skills. You can explore the card library to view all the available characters.

The majority of characters follow the combination rules and have ten levels. However, there are a few special characters that are limited in availability and have dynamic leveling. For more information, refer to the relevant section of this guide.

Each character can possess up to three special talents. These abilities greatly influence your combat strategy and allow you to create a diverse deck that distinguishes you from other players. By utilizing these unique talents, you can customize your gameplay experience. By default, characters have a base movement speed of 2, unless their abilities specify otherwise.

Deck

When you access the Deck Menu in Kingdom Karnage, you can do so by tapping the Deck Icon located on the Main Menu. In the upper left corner of the Deck Menu, you will see your Hero displayed. Tapping on the symbol of your Hero will bring up the Options menu.

Within the Deck Menu, you will find buttons numbered 1 through 5, representing different deck save slots. Initially, only one deck save option is available, and the rest are locked. However, by equipping a special item called a โ€œCodex,โ€ you can unlock additional deck saves and also increase your Heroโ€™s HP. There are four Codex rarities, with the first four rarities providing more deck saves and HP than the last rarity.

The current deck name that is shown as โ€œDeck Fiveโ€ corresponds to the deckโ€™s power level. Deck Power is a metric that measures the average strength of the cards included in your deck. It dynamically changes as you add or remove characters from your deck.

To add a character to your deck, select one of the available cards displayed at the bottom of the screen. Then, click on an open Deck Slot in the center of the screen to include the chosen character in your current deck. Similarly, if a Deck Slot is already occupied, you can choose a card from the bottom and click on the occupied Deck Slot to swap out the character originally selected. Each card at the bottom will have a white number indicating how many of that specific card you currently possess. In your deck, you can have up to three instances of the same character, regardless of their level. For example, you can have three level 1 versions or a combination of different levels.

When a character cannot be added to your deck anymore, it will be โ€œgreyed outโ€ and no longer available for selection.

Heroes

Currently, there are a total of 5 Heroes available in the game. Each player begins with a basic hero that starts with 10 HP. One of the Heroes, Multiverse Mike, who belongs to the Enjin Multiverse, has experienced an increase in health and now has +1 HP. The Wyden, at level 1, offers an impressive +5 HP. Furthermore, when you level up your Wyden, it gains an additional +1 HP with each level. Itโ€™s important to note that Wydens can only be leveled up by winning future 1v1 competitions against other Wydens.

The health bonus of Multiverse Mikesโ€™ Hero dynamically increases based on the growth of the Kingdom Karnage player base and the number of Multiverse Mike NFTs in circulation. As the game and the availability of Multiverse Mike NFTs expand, so does the health bonus of the Hero.

Among all the available Heroes, The Wyden stands out as the strongest. It is currently sold out and can only be obtained from other players through the JumpNet Marketplace or the in-game market.

Game modes

Challenge Mode

There are three game modes available for challenges: Random and Endurance. The Random Challenge mode offers a fun-only option where you are matched with a random opponent to test your deck without any consequences or incentives. On the other hand, the Endurance mode is not for the faint of heart. In this mode, you face a boss with 999 HP who can eliminate approaching soldiers and continuously strengthens their deck. The objective is to survive for as long as possible, rather than aiming for victory. When you lose, you receive Blue Gems in the lower left corner along with your kill score, and the more enemies you defeat, the more gems you gain.

King of Karnage Mode

In the King of Karnage mode, players can challenge the current reigning King to a 1v1 battle. The King is controlled by AI, allowing multiple players to challenge the throne simultaneously. To enter the challenge, players need to pay an entry fee in the currency $KKT (minus a small game fee), which contributes to the prize fund. Additionally, every 10 minutes, a small portion of the Global KKT pool is added to the reward pools.

Whenever a King successfully defends their throne, one random card in their deck is demoted by one level, weakening their deck and preventing overly powerful players from becoming unbeatable. When a King is defeated, they receive 75% of the money in the pot at that time, while the remaining 25% starts the reign of the new winner. Two variants of King of Karnage are available: โ€œNormalโ€ for newcomers and โ€œEliteโ€ for seasoned players (requires 100KKT). Any player can challenge either throne, but holding both thrones simultaneously is not permitted. The Global KKT pool contributes more to the reward pool of the Elite throne than it does to the Novice throne. In beginner mode, only common and uncommon cards ranked 4 or below are allowed, while any deck can be used in Elite mode.

PvP Mode

In the PvP mode, you engage in battles against other playersโ€™ decks. It is a player-versus-player combat where a full deck of 30 cards is required, with no restrictions on race. Use your player-created deck to participate in ranked 1v1 battles. Daily and weekly rewards are given in ranked PvP fights:

  • Daily Rewards: Win 5 daily PvP battles to receive a daily gift. The more daily battles you win within a month, the higher you climb on the reward tree, and the better the rewards you will earn.
  • Monthly League: Each month, players compete against each other for KKT rewards in a league-style format. To be eligible for an award, users must maintain their ranking within the top 100.
