How to Play Hearthstone on Blockchain?

Gods Unchained is an NFT trading card game built on the Ethereum blockchain that operates on a “play-to-earn” model. It was created by a team led by Nick Clay, who previously directed Magic The Gathering Arena

The game follows a classic card game structure similar to Hearthstone, where players construct the most powerful deck and compete against others. The NFT aspect of the game is embodied in the cards found in the decks, which are one-of-a-kind and can be traded on the Immutable X Marketplace. This introduces a novel approach to in-game collectibles.

How to play?

Starting in Gods Unchained is a relatively simple process. The first step is to create an account on the official Gods Unchained website. Once the account is created, the game can be downloaded onto your device. After logging in, you can complete the tutorial mode to familiarize yourself with the game mechanics. Fortunately, the game provides 85 free cards to help you get started. Once you finish the tutorial, you’ll receive your first pack of cards, and your journey to becoming a top duelist begins.

It’s worth noting that Gods Unchained is a free-to-play game, which is uncommon among NFT games that often require an initial transaction to begin playing.

Gameplay modes

There are five primary types of games available in Gods Unchained:

Solo (playing against an AI)

This mode is useful for new players or for those who want to learn how to play against specific types of decks. Before starting, you need to select your deck (top deck in the UI) and the AI opponent’s deck (bottom deck in the UI).

Rank Constructed

This is the primary competitive (ranked) game mode. You need to select your deck before starting this game.

Constructed

This is an unranked game type where you can match up against other players. You need to select your deck before starting this game mode.

Quick Sealed

In this mode, you will receive 50 random cards and build a deck of 30 cards based on the cards you received, and then play.

Quick Draft

In this mode, you will draft cards to build your deck, and then play.

Participating in matches earns you EXP that can be used to acquire new cards and abilities. Players can access new cards by opening packs. Completing each level earns players a pack of cards to open. Packs contain four types of cards: Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Shiny.

How to earn?

Gods Unchained includes multiple mechanics that allow players to earn rewards while playing the game. The first mechanism involves participating in Ranked matches, which grants players experience points that contribute towards their overall account level. As players level up, they receive Core card packs as a reward, and they can also create Meteorite level Core cards that can be sold to other players for profit.

The second play-to-earn feature is the weekend tournament mode, which begins every Friday morning. During this event, players from around the world compete in the Arena for rewards and recognition. Players can win Core set and the latest Expansion set packs, and Mythic level players who rank among the top 10 overall receive additional prize packs at the end of the weekend.

The third mechanism is daily tasks, which involves completing straightforward quests like playing a few Ranked matches or creating new decks. Completing these tasks grants players GODS tokens every day.

Please be aware that the income you earn may differ depending on a variety of factors, including your level of expertise, your opponents’ skill levels, and the quality of your card deck, among other factors. The figures displayed in the table are averages derived from these factors. Also, please note that Gods Unchained is a Free-to-Play game, and any investment made in the game is entirely optional.
